Adnan Menderes Airport is located within the borders of Gaziemir and Menderes districts of İzmir, 14 km south of the city center. Opened in 1987, this airport is known by the IATA code ADB and the ICAO code LTBJ. The airport serves civil flights with two runways, which are at CAT-II level.
