Varna Airport is an airport serving the city of Varna, one of the important cities on Bulgaria's Black Sea coast. Opened in 1947, the airport is located approximately 10 km from the city center, near the town of Aksakovo. Its IATA code is VAR, and its ICAO code is LBWN. The airport has a single runway, which is 2500 meters long and 55 meters wide. With an annual passenger capacity of 1,800,000, Varna Airport hosted 2,281,134 passengers in 2018. The airport features various duty-free shops, restaurants, and cafes. Services offered to enhance passenger comfort include various shopping options and relaxation areas. The airport is also an important point for cargo transportation.
Terminal Information
There are 3 terminals at Varna Airport. Terminal 1, built in 1972, is currently used only as a VIP area. Terminal 2, opened in 2013, covers an area of 18,000 m² and hosts 25 check-in counters. Getting from Airport to City Center
