Kayseri Airport, officially known as Erkilet Airport, was opened on November 15, 1998, and serves both civilian and military flights. Located quite close to the center of Kayseri, the airport's IATA code is ASR, and its ICAO code is LTAU. The airport, with an annual capacity of 8 million passengers, has increased its capacity to 6 million passengers through investments made due to increasing demand. Kayseri Airport operates with a single terminal building, and both domestic and international flights are conducted from this terminal. Kayseri Airport serves both domestic and international flights with a single terminal building. The construction of the new terminal building began in 2020 and became operational on February 4, 2024. The official opening of the terminal was held on January 17, 2025. The terminal, with a total area of 51,000 square meters, has a passenger usage area of 20,680 square meters. To ensure passengers receive quick and seamless service, there are 39 check-in counters and 2 electronic check-in devices for Turkish Airlines. No special terminal separation has been made for airlines; all flights are conducted from this terminal.
Getting from Airport to City Center
Bus: Municipal buses numbered 100, 101, and 271 can be used for transportation from Kayseri Airport to the city center. These buses provide a journey of approximately 15-20 minutes to the city center.
