Opened on June 25, 1938, as Ringway Airport, it was later renamed Manchester Airport. With the IATA code MAN, Manchester Airport is the third-largest airport in the UK. It is the only airport outside of London with two full-length runways. The first runway opened in 1937, and the second in 2001.
