Prempeh I International Airport Flight Tickets

Prempeh I International Airport has two terminals: Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. However, there is no clear information on terminal numbering in the official documents of the Ghana Airports Company. As of 2023, the airport serves only domestic flights, despite having gained international status, and information on regular international flights has not yet been updated. Terminal 1 is used for domestic flights, while Terminal 2 is intended for planned international flights. Transportation within the terminal is provided on foot, as the terminal buildings are quite close to each other.

Bus / Tro-tro (Minibus): There is no direct bus line from Prempeh I International Airport to Kumasi city center. Instead, 'tro-tro' minibuses, which are used as local public transport, can be preferred. These vehicles pick up passengers on main roads near the airport and go to central areas like Kejetia Market. The journey takes approximately 20-30 minutes. Services run every 5-10 minutes in the morning and every 10-20 minutes during the day.

Taxi: One of the fastest ways to reach the city center from the airport is by taxi. A taxi ride takes about 15-25 minutes depending on traffic. Taxi services are available 24/7 and can be easily found at the terminal exit.

Car Rental: There are several international and local car rental companies at the airport. You can easily reach the city center or surrounding areas by renting a car. The travel time varies depending on traffic conditions, but it is generally around 20 minutes.

Private Transfer Services: Private transfer services are also a popular transportation option between the airport and the city center. These services provide door-to-door transportation with prior reservation and offer a comfortable travel experience. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes.

Prempeh I International Airport features a lounge called Adinkra Lounge. Located in Terminal 1, in the domestic departures section, this lounge operates as an independent lounge. Although not affiliated with any specific airline or alliance, it may serve business class passengers of various airlines and some credit card programs by agreement. Adinkra Lounge offers seating and relaxation areas, free Wi-Fi, snack and beverage options, charging facilities, and TV. Entry conditions generally apply to business class ticket holders or passengers who are members of certain card programs, and paid entry may also be available.
