Getting to City Center
Bus: VIA Route 5 provides direct transportation from the airport to the city center. The stop at the westernmost end of Terminal B is used for disembarking, and you can generally reach areas around St. Mary’s & Pecan or Villita in the city center. The journey takes approximately 30–35 minutes. Services run every 30–60 minutes and operate daily; they run from approximately 05:29 to 22:43 from the airport. The same Route 5 is used when traveling from the city center to the airport; Navarro / downtown stops are prominent boarding points.
Taxi: Official taxi stands are located at the outer commercial curb of Terminal A at the airport. A taxi ride from SAT to the city center can take approximately 12–25 minutes depending on traffic conditions. Taxi service is accessible throughout the day, and there is no fixed schedule with specific minute intervals. You can also reach the airport from the city center using the same taxi stands or by calling for a taxi.
