Siem Reap International Airport Guide
Siem Reap Angkor International Airport is located in the Soutr Nikom district of Siem Reap province, Cambodia. Opened on October 16, 2023, this modern airport is 50 km from Siem Reap city and 40 km from the Angkor Wat temples. The airport is situated on a 700-hectare area and has a 3,600-meter-long runway. Serving with an annual capacity of 7 million passengers and 65,800 flights, the airport aims to increase this capacity to 12 million passengers by 2040 and 20 million by 2050. With the IATA code SAI and ICAO code VDSA, the airport plays a significant role in both passenger and cargo transportation. The airport features duty-free shops, restaurants, and cafes for passengers. Additionally, there are luxury hotel accommodations and various shops, catering to all passenger needs.
Terminal Information
Siem Reap Angkor International Airport has a single terminal building serving both domestic and international flights. The terminal building features 15 jet bridges and an advanced baggage system. It is suitable for the landing of both wide and narrow-body aircraft, from Boeing 737 to Airbus A350. There is also a dedicated section for cargo transportation. Although information on which airlines operate from which terminal is not available, as Cambodia's largest airport, it hosts many international and regional flights. Internal transportation within the terminal is easy and well-organized for passenger convenience.
Getting from Airport to City Center
Airport Shuttle Bus: Shuttle buses from Siem Reap Angkor International Airport to the city center provide transportation to CDF Angkor Duty Free Store or Siem Reap Post Office points. These journeys, which take approximately 75 minutes, are conducted at fixed times and operate between 09:30-22:00.
Taxi: Official taxi stands located at the terminal exit of the airport provide direct transportation to the city center. The journey time varies between 45-75 minutes depending on traffic. Taxi service is available 24 hours a day.
Transfer Minibus / Shuttle Service: Transfer minibuses from the airport to the city center operate based on passenger demand. These journeys, which take approximately 60-90 minutes, occur throughout the day and provide transportation to hotels.
Rental Car: By renting a car from the rental car companies located at the airport, you can reach the city center within 75 minutes. Car rental service is available throughout the day.
Note: There is currently no metro or train line to the airport, but a light-rail project is planned for the future.

Transfer Minibus / Shuttle Service: You can book minibus services from hotels in the city center to the airport in advance. This service is provided throughout the day and the journey takes 60-90 minutes.
Rental Car: By renting a car from rental offices in the city center, you can reach the airport within 75 minutes. Car rental service is available throughout the day.
Note: A metro and train line is not yet available, but the planned light-rail project may be implemented in the future.
Lounges and Rest Areas
There are two main lounges at Siem Reap Angkor International Airport: Angkor Lounge and Plaza Premium Lounge. Both lounges are located in the international departure terminal and offer various amenities to passengers. Angkor Lounge is situated on the right after security and passport control, between gates 1-3. This lounge is not affiliated with any specific airline but can be used by business class passengers, Priority Pass, DragonPass, Lounge Key, American Express Platinum cardholders, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold members. Angkor Lounge offers free food and beverages, Wi-Fi, flight displays, and various seating areas. Plaza Premium Lounge provides similar services and offers passengers a comfortable waiting area. Both lounges offer guests the opportunity to relax in a comfortable environment before or after their travels.
