Saudia is the flag carrier airline of Saudi Arabia, established in 1945 with a Douglas DC-3 aircraft gifted by U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt to King Abdulaziz. Based in Jeddah, Saudia was initially managed by Trans World Airlines (TWA) under the Ministry of Defense and began operations on the Jeddah-Riyadh-Hofuf-Dhahran route in 1947. The airline's main hub is King Abdulaziz International Airport (Jeddah), with secondary hubs at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Airport in Medina, King Fahd Airport in Dammam, and King Khalid Airport in Riyadh.
